Lets all work
together to build our membership, you
never know when you'll find the next
Governor/Senior Regent or just that fun
guy or gal hanging out in our Lodge.
Hopefully we'll find somebody with some
new jokes....
Sponsors.... Do you
know where your guest are?
What dose it take to
keep our newly sponsored member coming
back each year?
Think back to all the
new members we signed up this year,
where are they? If you don't see them
around give them a call & see what's
going on, they might not know what's
going on in the Lodge. Remind them about
all the activities, dinners and other
events. Going through the sign-up
process just to get member isn't the
main goal, the goal should be to built a
fraternity to allow our member a
safe/fun place to go while at the same
time supporting Mooseheart & Moosehaven.
Lets go & see how
many non-active members we can bring
back.

District Meeting September 20, 2009
Hosted by the Torrance Lodge
·
All Lodges were
present, Hawthorne had the highest
attendance & won the new monthly Moose
o
The District has
an attendance Moose, each month the
Lodge with the most members
participating for the breakfast/meeting
wins this Moose for the month. The Moose
can be decorated to represent your
Lodge. At the end of the District FY the
Moose is donated to the Lodge with the
highest points, once confirm this year’s
winner should be Hawthorne. (Hosting
Lodge is excluded for that month)
·
CNMA sent a
letter thanking our Lodge for the $552
endowment sent during the 2008/2009
fiscal year. We must exceed this amount
during this F/Y to achieve our Premier
Lodge Award
·
Reminder for the
Simi Valley Legion Picnic, October 11th.
Have some fun and show your support by
attending this event.
·
$476 raised
during this meeting (Food, raffle
tickets & Charlie’s infamous
50/50 drawing)
o
Ivan and his
wife won 4 out of the 10 50/50
drawings……Some people just have all the
luck.
·
Moose
International (Moose Charities) has
awarded our Lodge a certificate
recognizing our efforts in donations to
the greater good of Moose Heart & Moose
Heaven, our “Benefactor Level was
between $750 - $999 for the year. The
WOTM were presented something similar.
·
Each year when
the new District Officers take over they
hold a drawing to see which Lodges will
host particular District functions, in
the past Redondo has always seem to get
the popular Casino Night. Well this new
Governor happened to draw the King/Queen
Coronation Dinner, we need to pick
either Saturday May 1st, 8th
or the 22nd of 2010. I tried
to trade Sana Monica for the Casino
Night but they decided to keep it. We
need to determine the actual date and
report back @ the next District Meeting.
There were a few
additional items discussed, but I didn’t
capture all the notes, some people don’t
use the microphones and it hard to hear…
What did you say?
How much.. who is that? You get
the point.
I’ll try to keep
the Lodge informed the best I can, we’ll
have copies of the District meeting
notes at our LOOM meeting for all to
see. Stop on in & see what’s going on
within our Lodge and your District.

Edwards/Governor
