Dear Members & Guest,

I’d like to start by thanking everybody that spent time volunteering within the Lodge during the 2009 year, without your support our Lodge wouldn’t be the success it is today. I’d also like to thank our members for patronizing the social quarters and participating with our weekly functions such as Friday Night Dinners, Bingo and Card.

As we start the 2010 year I’d like to reach out to our membership and see how you think the Lodge could improve, sometime we can lose focus when just running the day to day operations. If you have any ideas that could help improve our Lodge/Social Quarters please talk to a Board Officer or submit a note in our Suggestion Box located in the Hall area.

Some of you may have notice the new computer in Hall area; our members can now enjoy Internet access while spending time at the lodge. Simply show your current membership card to the bartender and ask for the key, we’ll also be providing training classes for those first time users.

The first set of classes will be the 2nd & 4th Wednesday, January through March from 6:00 to 8:00pm. Classes provided by Jerry Edwards, class will cover basic computer skills, setting up and using an e-mail account and browsing the internet.

Remember, this is your Lodge and as a fraternally family we all have a say in what goes on around here. Come on down a be a part of the solution.

Fraternally,
Jerry Edwards
Governor

Notes From The Senior Regent

Sr. Regent Message:
Co-Workers:

*Happy New Year.  I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday with friends and family.

*We're winding down the 2009-2010 Chapter Year. What a year it has been.  We celebrated many achievements and have few upcoming events to conclude the year.  We're having our Green Cap Ceremony, honoring Barbara Boren, February 27th at 3:00 pm.  In March, we'll have three co-workers attend the Mid-Year Conference in Reno to receive their Academy of Friendship Degree.  Congratulations.

*We had a great turnout for the Children's Christmas Party.  We also collected over 100 baby blankets at our First Annual Baby Shower.  Thank you to all who participated and helped in these events.

*With the year winding down, we'll be having the election of new officers at our March meeting.  We'll be putting together the nominating committee soon.  If you're interested in running for an elected position, please let me or one of the other board of officers know your interest.
*There have been many changes at Moose  International that affect the Women of the Moose.  They are too numerous to mention in the newsletter so I hope to see you at our upcoming meeting(s) where the changes will be announced.  If you cannot attend the meeting, you can also review the changes on the Moose International web-site.
*Can*t wait to see you.

 Fraternally,
 Sherri Freeman
